Who here uses any of these products? Are they any good? Are they even sold in Canada?

My adult bettas rely mostly on Attison's Betta Pro (or spa, whichever one is the tiny little beige pellets). They get sporadic grindal and whiteworm treats http://209.85.62.26/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /> I'm quite happy with the attison's products. Catherine and I split on a big back that she ordered through the IBC at a fantastic price

I am not sure if you have to be a member of the IBC but you can order them from their website. I am not sure where else you can get them from.

clefty- I think those are the pro pellets
I just checked the IBC site and shipping to canada (ontario) seems to be a flat rate at $16 which is not good if I only want one or two items.

Betta Spa is the extract of Indian Almond leaf,
I do believe that a joint order would be more effective if you can find somebody in your area

You can order almond leaves (IAL) from Amy Lim on AB for a very reasonable rate - I think it's around $25 USD delivered and the number of leaves will last a long time (that's who Zena gets hers from). I use the leaves in my tanks for the breeders, then when they get soggy and sink I pull them out, let them dry again and make a "betta tea" from them by boiling them in water for awhile. Then I filter the leaves from the extract and use that like I'd use Betta Spa or BlackWaterExtract (BWE).

I'm using both the Pro and the regular... My Bettas go crazy for the stuff.
I ordered the food plus some Ocean Nutrition Brine Shrimp Eggs from IBC sales, it made the shipping of my order reasonable
I also got some IAL from Amy... nice stuff, I'm currently comparing them to the Eheim peat that I used to use to treat my water.

thanks cmster. I have the package in the bathroom but didn't feel like walking the 10 feet there haha. I actually have the betta spa as well and it's good for treating mildly sick fish http://209.85.62.26/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /> also just the stuff for spawning http://209.85.62.26/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' />

Thanks for the tips.
I'm also curious as to what the difference is between the regular pellets and the pro? Is the regular a staple diet and the pro ONLY a supplement?

Atison's food is also available on http://www.bluebettausa.com, and shipping seems a little cheaper than on the IBC site. The only difference I've noticed between the regular Atisons pellets and the Atison's Pro, is that the pro is a little smaller in size, so it works better for younger fish. It also has a slightly higher protein content. I feed only the pro, and just buy it in the larger 500g size for convenience.

I use the Atison'sBetta Pro mainly. Worms, Daphina and frozen food as a treat. I order my Atison's from IBC. The trick is; if you go to the States and are staying for several days or a week. Have they shipped to the Hotel. Cuts down on shipping cost and you can include them in your total of what you declare. Catherine
