I am getting some bettas from Kim in just over a week. 2 males and sibling sisters. I currently have 2 female HMs in a 5 gallon QT tank and 2 male CT in a split 10 gallon. Once QT is over for everyone, I was thinking of going this route. Let me know your thoughts/opinions for it, kay? And I won't get hurt feelings if you feel my setup isn't right.

I was thinking of housing the 4 males in a 10 gallon split into five (four for the fish, one for a Hydro I sponge filter and heater. Bare bottom tank with some java moss in each male's home.
The females I was hoping to put all into either a 10 gallon or into my current 55 gallon which houses some female koi swordtails, a couple of male guppies and 7-8 female guppies, BN plecos. Are females okay with other types of fish in the same tank or best to house with just them? And, of course, depending also if the females decide to all get along with each other! lol
Hoping to try spawning once everyone settles in and are conditioned after their trip to their new home. I do have some 5 gallon tanks for that purpose.
Food I have are New Life Spectrum small sinking pellets, various flake food, frozen bloodworms and brine shrimp, microworms, vinegar eels and white worms. Atison's pelleted food, is that better than the NLS?
So, how does all that sound? 10 out of 10?
