I have 4 spawns growing out and I need room for them! So I'm going to start selling off some from the first spawn cus they are starting to get some attitude. They are between 1-3cm and unsexed.

$3each or 4 for $10.

hey.  how much for shipping to London?  probably for 2 to 3 day service?  Or, you work near Kim right?  I wonder if we could arrange for Kim to get some this week and I can pick them up when I get some tshirts from her on the weekend?

If that's the case, I'd take 8.  If I have to get them shipped, I'd take 4 or 8 (so prices on that for shipping please)...thanks!

Hey BettaCrazy.

Betta falx are actually a wild relative of Betta splendens.  They are quite neat though.

You can read up on them here: http://www.ibcbettas.org/smp/species/falx.html

and the article they mention at:  http://www.ibcbettas.org/smp/articles/falx_griffin.html

Hopefully you're still interested.  Wilds are quite neat http://209.85.62.26/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' />

I also put an article in the wild section of them, the ones pictured are the parents. Right now the babies are just plain looking, they don't have any colour yet. But I can see a bid of colour coming in on the anal fins of some of the larger ones.

The one in my avatar is mine, and I will have some of his babies ready shortly http://209.85.62.26/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' />

Wow, thanks for the info!! What a behavior and spawning difference between them and the others. Interesting that they can be kept in pairs and community. I've never actually kept or seen mouth brooders before.. that would be cool. Do you need to remove the female during or after incubation as well. I didn't see that mentioned. I prob just over looked it.

I would be REALLY interested in the line that is shown in your avatar. I'll watch for them.

Congrats on the fry factory... must be something in the water over there...LOL Good work!!!

I remove the female a few days after spawning. She can disrupt the male and cause him to swallow the eggs. And she will eat the fry as well.

Got the fry Ash!

Thanks for the great deal.  Haven't had a good look at them yet.  Will let them settle in tomorrow!  Maybe I'll try to get some pics once they grow out a bit http://209.85.62.26/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' />
